Attachment:

A particular interest in my clinical work to date has been to explore the relationship between empirical infant attachment research and adult outcomes, with emphasis on the intergenerational transmission of attachment patterns. This research has to do with applying the discoveries of infant-caregiver research to the treatment of adult clients. Attachment theory marries well with psychotherapy because of the model it provides for the integration of early childhood experience with later development. Research suggests that attachment security is associated with a wide range of healthier personality variables, such as lower anxiety, reduced hostility, greater ego resilience and better ability to regulate feelings. Thus, therapeutically an aim is about the exploration and attainment of attachment security

When it comes to our emotions there are no black or white answers. With life-changing decisions there is often no clear direction to the critical dimension of feelings. This paper briefly addresses the importance of work/lifestyle balance and the necessity of acquiring the skills for coping with change.
